Kneel, handsome fellow!

George right around the time of  “Crackerbox Palace”, with Friar Park in the background. Not sure who the guy is that he is kneeling before. It looks the tiniest bit like his dad.

George was the only man who could pull of a perm. He looks strikingly like my ex boyfriend in this era of his! But he had wavy hair.

This is actually pre-perm.:D He seems to have gotten the perm right before Dhani was born,’1978. If you see pic of him then, the curls are really tight and poodle-like..heehee
George had really naturally wavy hair when a lot of length wasn’t pulling it down straight!

        That’s natural!?

Yep, sure is! He did not have naturally straight hair. It had some wave and body to it. Why he got a perm, I have no idea! Didn’t need it!

    What a cutie! 🙂

Also, I’m totally bummed that his house is off limits to the public (though I obviously understand why). I would LOVE a tour of the house and the gardens, which I’m sure Olivia has maintained well in loving memory of George. 🙂

Wouldn’t it be nice if Olivia decided to open the house to the public and perhaps turn part of it into a museum of George memorabilia? Even it was only for a couple of months each year I’m sure it could raise lots of money for his Material World Foundation. I would LOVE to visit, even if it was only to see the gardens!

God, me, too. It’s a pretty brilliant idea, actually.

I love George and his fro-tastic hair! 😀

Btw, out of curiosity, do you know what exactly he was doing when the photo was taken?

I have no idea! He could have just knelt down to pluck a weed, maybe?

I recall with the making of a “Hard Day’s Night” the Beatles hairdresser when asked about the Beatle’s hair, she stated that George’s hair had to be dried with a brush attachment to smooth it out. So I assumed his hair was quite wavy and thick. She said Ringo hair was baby fine and she had to try hard to hide his grey streak, the other Beatle’s hair was ok.
If you observe the picture of George (with the troll doll in the foreground) the end of his ponytail is very wavy almost curly.

      How fascinating!
I read that the Beatles hairdresser in “Help” (have no idea if it was the same person) also commented that George had a very dry scalp and bad dandruff if not taken care of properly..XD
George’s hair has always looked very thick and luscious in any pics I see of him. You can definitely see a wave in it in pics where his hair is combed down into a Beatle do,like he had cowlicks as well.:)
